Cleaning Steps
1. Disassembly Preparation
Before disassembly, perform the operation in a clean environment. It is recommended to record the disassembly process on your phone for easy reconstruction. First, use an air blower to remove any visible dust and grit from the telescopic mast joints, avoiding scratches from hard objects.
2. Deep Cleaning
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush dipped in soapy water to focus on cleaning the telescopic joints and threads. Stubborn stains can be removed with a cotton swab and a small amount of lens cleaner. After cleaning, dry thoroughly to prevent residual moisture from rusting.
3. Lubrication and Maintenance
Apply special silicone grease to removable metal parts (such as the leg locks) to reduce friction and wear. Avoid using oil-based lubricants on plastic parts.
Maintenance Recommendations
1. Moisture-Proof Storage
When not in use for long periods, store the telescopic mast in a dryer or sealed bag with desiccant. This is especially important in humid southern regions.
2. Regular Inspection
Inspect the joints for wear every 3-6 months. If looseness or abnormality is detected, send the mast for repair immediately. Avoid storing the mast in dusty, muddy, or sandy environments without cleaning it.
Precautions
Do not use strong glues such as 502 glue to secure components during cleaning, as this may damage the coating.
If the threads of the telescopic mast become stuck, lightly sand them with 300-grit sandpaper and reassemble.
Electronic masts must avoid contact between the electrical interfaces and liquids.
