Touch the surface. If it feels rough or uneven, it may be due to rust.
Tap the tower gently. If the sound is dull or hollow, internal rust may be present.
3. Tool-Assisted Inspection:
Use an endoscope to observe the rust in hidden areas (such as internal structures).
Professional equipment (such as a micro-loss resistance probe) can quantitatively detect the degree of rust.
Precautions:
Regular inspections (recommended quarterly) are necessary, paying particular attention to the tower in harsh environments such as humid conditions and high salinity.
Immediate treatment is required upon discovery of rust to prevent a decrease in structural strength.
