I. Standard Operation is Fundamental
Avoid Over-Discharge: Discharge depth should not exceed 80%. Charge promptly and avoid storing batteries in a discharged state.
Proper Charging: Use a smart charger to avoid overcharging. Maintain ventilation during charging; the temperature should not exceed 45℃.
Reduce Overload: Avoid prolonged full-load operation to prevent accelerated battery aging.
II. Regular Maintenance is Key
Daily Cleaning: Clean the battery surface and terminals every 1-2 months to remove corrosion and apply petroleum jelly to prevent oxidation.
Status Check:
Voltage Testing: Measure the voltage monthly with a multimeter. Charge 12V batteries when the voltage drops below 11.8V.
Capacity Testing: Perform a discharge test every 3-6 months. Consider replacement when the capacity drops below 80%.
Environmental Adaptation: Enhance heat dissipation during hot seasons and move to indoor storage during cold seasons to prevent freezing.
III. Optimize Storage Environment
Storage Location: Choose a dry, well-ventilated, and cool indoor location, maintaining a temperature between 5℃ and 30℃.
Storage Status: When not in use for extended periods, fully charge the battery before storage and recharge it every 1-2 months.
Safety Measures: Keep away from flammable materials, direct sunlight, and high temperatures.
IV. Other Precautions
Use Matching Batteries: When replacing batteries, choose new batteries of the same brand, model, and capacity to avoid mixing old and new batteries.
Timely Replacement: If bulging, leakage, or a significant decrease in capacity is observed, immediately stop using the battery and replace it.
