How to Extend the Battery Life of a Foldable Lighthouse
1. Adjust Usage Modes to Reduce Power Consumption
Adjusting the mode according to usage needs can significantly reduce unnecessary power consumption:
Prioritize Single-Sided Lighting: Most foldable lighthouses support single-sided/dual-sided lighting switching. Single-sided lighting consumes nearly half the power compared to dual-sided lighting. Simply adjust the lighthouse angle to align with the area being used to roughly double the battery life while meeting your needs.
Adjust Brightness as Needed: When a large area of strong light is not needed, adjust the brightness to the lowest setting. The battery life at the lowest brightness is much longer than at the highest brightness. For example, some camping models can achieve over 500 hours of battery life at the lowest brightness, far exceeding the 4-7 hours at the highest brightness.
Turn Off When Not in Use: Turn off the power promptly when not in use to avoid wasting power by leaving the light on for extended periods.
2. Extend Total Range with Supplemental Power Supply
For models that support solar power or external charging, range can be extended by supplementing power supply:
Utilize Solar Power Effectively: When not in use during the day, place the foldable lighthouse in sunlight to continuously charge using its built-in solar panels. This is especially useful in emergency situations, enabling a "charge during the day, use at night" cycle without relying on an external power source.
Prepare for Energy Storage in Advance: Fully charge the battery before travel or work. For fuel-powered models, fill up the tank beforehand to avoid shortening usable time by using the battery at half capacity.
3. Maintain Battery Performance to Ensure Performance
Battery aging reduces actual range. Routine maintenance helps maintain battery health:
Avoid over-discharging the battery. Charge it promptly after it is completely depleted and avoid leaving it in a discharged state for extended periods.
For long-term storage, maintain the battery charge at 50%-70% and store it in a cool, dry place, avoiding high or low temperatures that could affect battery capacity.
For batteries that have reached the end of their lifespan or experienced significant capacity degradation, replace them with new batteries of the same specifications to restore the rated range.
